1935 Harmony National Trojan (Serial # T1926)
1935 National Trojan Wood-Body Resonator paired with a premium Vintage 1960s "Linen Tweed" Hard Shell case
This combination offers a spectacular pre-war round-neck instrument housed in a structurally superior, highly secure, and wonderfully vintage case. Finding a 90-year-old wood-body National that is completely unmodified, structurally flawless, and retains its original hardware is a true collector's trifecta.
The Holy Grail Neck Joint: The single biggest point of failure on pre-war wood resonators is neck heel separation due to massive string tension. This example features a perfectly tight, flush, and structurally stable neck heel with zero gaps, zero signs of bowing, and absolutely no old glue squeeze-out from amateur repairs.
Crisp Provenance: The top edge of the headstock proudly retains its crisp, deeply stamped serial number: T1926, definitively dating this instrument to 1935 (from the historic T100–T2999 production sequence).
Pristine Headstock Decal: The delicate, original "National Trojan Made in USA" water-transfer shield decal is completely intact and beautifully legible—a true rarity, as most have flaked away over the last century.
Aesthetic & Construction: Classic Harmony 14 1/4" body profile, segmented f-holes, solid white celluloid body binding, and an original nickel-plated "colander" style diamond-perforated cover plate over a 9.5-inch internal aluminum cone. The original amber sunburst finish shows gorgeous, honest nitrocellulose lacquer checking (craquelure) and minor play-wear scuffs that certify its untouched heritage.
