Vintage 1930s Kalamazoo KG-11 Flat-Top (Gibson-Built) – Fully Playable w/ Period 1930s Geib Purple-Lined Case

The KG-11 is famously recognizable by its unique "squatty" silhouette—featuring a distinctively truncated, square-shouldered upper bout and a compact lower bout. This shorter body length places the bridge closer to the sweet spot of the lower bout, yielding a punchy, boxy, fingerstyle-friendly tone that cuts through wonderfully without mud or boominess.

  • Complete Bridge Replacement: The notoriously fragile, thin original factory bridge has been cleanly replaced with a custom-carved, historically accurate rosewood bridge. The new bridge sits perfectly flush against the spruce top with zero finish scarring or glue residue. The internal bridge plate is completely stable, meaning the guitar is structurally robust and ready to be played daily without the typical "belly warp" anxiety associated with vintage ladder-braced tops.

  •  Saddle & Setup: A fresh bone saddle has been expertly cut, angled, and intonated.

  • The Case: Authentic 1930s Geib

  •  Playability: Fully playable up and down the neck with a sweet, articulate tone.
